On-Site Presentations

We have worked with school districts in Ingham County and beyond to create a curriculum for educating students on Anishinaabe history and culture.  During the school year of 2025 – 2026, we will do approximately 140 presentations to students K-12 during the regular class periods, for assemblies, cultural days, and more. We work with the school to plan multiple visits over the course of a semester to ensure that the students are able to get a more in-depth understanding and retain what they learn.

Field Trips

The Nokomis Cultural Heritage Center provides tour programs, through out the year, to groups ranging in size from 2 to over 60 people and larger for site visits. For smaller groups, we regularly give guided tours of the gallery and presentations.

If you would like to set up a tour and presentation, please call us at 517-349-5777 or email the Nokomis Team at info@nokomis.org.
